Where to monitor usage
Settings → Billing → Usage & quota. Each metered feature has its own row showing:- The feature icon and label.
- The reset window: Resets on
<date>·<N>days remaining for monthly meters, or Cumulative — never resets for lifetime meters. - The count:
<used>of<included>used, with the percentage on the right. - A progress bar. The bar turns amber at 85% and red once you cross the included quota.
- An overage line once you cross 100%, showing the per-unit price and the cost accrued in the current period.
Metered features
TalkValue meters the surfaces where cost scales with usage. The current set:| Feature | What counts | Resets |
|---|---|---|
| Attendee check-ins | Total attendees you check in across Badge events | Monthly, on your subscription anniversary |
| Contacts | Distinct people in your Path workspace | Cumulative |
Reset cycle
Monthly meters reset on your subscription anniversary, not on the 1st of the calendar month. If your subscription started on March 18, the counter rolls over on the 18th of every month. The card shows the exact next reset date so you don’t have to track it. Cumulative meters don’t reset. The counter grows for the lifetime of the workspace. Deleting the underlying records (a person, an event) decrements the count in real time.Overage pricing
If a feature crosses its included quota, additional usage is billed at a per-unit overage rate listed under the progress bar (Over quota — additional$X.XX/unit). The accrued overage cost for the current period shows on the right ($Y.YY so far this period) and rolls up into your next invoice alongside the base price.
You can confirm the exact rate for your workspace at any time on the Usage & quota card; the price reflects your workspace’s current pricing and is shown live.
During the 14-day trial, overage pricing doesn’t apply. You can use the full Pro feature set without crossing into paid usage.
Estimated next invoice
The card shows an estimated next-invoice line below the metric rows. It sums the base $299/month plus the accrued overage across every metered feature for the current period. The estimate updates throughout the cycle as usage accrues; the final invoice is generated on your subscription anniversary. How the counters work
- Attendee check-ins count when staff actually check people in. Importing a roster doesn’t count.
- Contacts counts the de-duplicated person record. Re-importing the same person doesn’t double-count.
